Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Launch on Xbox Game Pass from Day One

Microsoft announced that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one of its release.

Megan Spurr, Senior Community Lead of Xbox Game Pass, confirmed in an official Xbox Wire blog post that they are “excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass.”

This news has been met with cheers from the player base, as one of the best upcoming esports games will soon be playable at a fraction of its cost.

The game is set during the Gulf War of the 1990s, as revealed in a short trailer titled  “The Truth Lies” on their official social channels. Featuring notable figures such as George Bush, Bill Clinton, and especially Frank Woods, the game has players buzzing with anticipation for its release.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, as well as last-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One. The official release date is anticipated to be between late October and November.

According to the development team, more information will be shared during a special Xbox Games Showcase followed by a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct on June 9, 2024, at 10 am PT, on all their streaming platforms.

With its intriguing setting and high-profile characters, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” promises to deliver an engaging experience for longtime fans and new players. Hopefully, this installment will feature in next year’s Esports World Cup, having missed out on the maiden edition of the tournament coming up in July.
