Nintendo has refused to reveal the developers behind its latest Mario & Luigi: Brothership Game. If you’re familiar with Nintendo’s studio, you’ll remember that the original studio behind the series, AlphaDream, closed in 2019.
They’ve been pretty tight-lipped about the details of the developers, but they did admit that “some of the original developers were involved.”
In an interview with Journalist Stephen Totilo, Nintendo confirmed that “Some of the original developers who worked on the franchise are involved in the development of Mario & Luigi: Brothership.”
Who those “original developers” are remains a mystery for now. Many of AlphaDream’s developers decamped to other Nintendo development teams so that they may be the developers behind the Mario & Luigi: Brothership release.
Nintendo unveiled Mario & Luigi: Brothership a few days ago and confirmed that the game will launch on the Switch on November 7th.

The game marks the first appearance of this Nintendo’s line of RPG series on the Switch. The unveiling didn’t provide many details, but Nintendo describes it as a “sea-faring adventure that unfolds across mysterious islands.”
If you’re still itching to know the developers behind the Brothership, the best we can offer for now is Nintendo’s words: “For more information about the developers, please stay tuned to the game credits
at release”.
