DCB Sports Acquires Guild Esports $100k+

DCB Sports, a leading British esports organization management company, has just acquired Guild esports. The latter a powerhouse in the esports scene co-owned by none other than former British football legend David Beckham. This deal is valued at £100,000 in cash plus add ons and comes at a crucial time for Guild esports. They have been facing financial challenges and were in danger of declaring bankruptcy.

With this acquisition, Guild esports will receive the much-needed infusion of working capital. Guild Esports, currently hosting teams in Rocket League, Fortnite, FIFA and VALORANT  disclosed financial difficulties two months ago. These include negotiations with creditors, additional funding, and potential partnerships with larger groups.

Guild Esports issued a statement saying “ Despite continued efforts, Guild has exhausted all alternative fundraising and financing opportunities which would allow the company’s continued operation in its current form. The Board of Directors therefore believe that the transaction is the best course of action available for the company.”

Rebranding Guild Esports

In a bold move, Guild esports will rebrand itself to become Cassel Capital PLC. This new paint will signal a new chapter in its journey. The CEO’s departure and appointment of DCB Sports as the new guiding force behind Guild esports promise an exciting future. 

Speaking in regards to the acquisition, she said ” the Board is looking to secure the long-term future of Guild Esports, both the PLC and the iconic Guild brand. 

“Our deal with DCB Sports is an important step in that direction, as DCB Sports will allow Guild’s management to deliver on its strategic aims of building a world-class gaming-led media brand.”
